Praise the Lord!!! Our family has been officially approved as Baptist International Missions, Inc. (BIMI) missionaries to Greece. We set a goal over ten years ago to serve with this board and the Lord answered our prayer in His perfect timing. We had a wonderful time at HQ’s in Chattanooga getting to know field directors, board trustees and other missionaries as well as catching up with some BIMI friends who we met through two different weeks at Camp BIMI.

In the last few months, a few churches have responded to me that they do not support missionaries with board affiliations. While I understand and respect their opinion, I am so thankful for the thousands of pastors who recognize that a board such as BIMI exists to provide care, accountability and resources to missionaries on the field. The standards that BIMI maintains are high for a reason and reflect in the godliness of its leadership and the families who are on the field. I believe we will be more effective missionaries in Greece because of the board association we have. In a world where churches are closing in record numbers and sin is tearing still other churches apart, it is empowering to know that we can rely on God, and the people He’s called, to assist us in fulfilling the Great Commission that has been entrusted to us.

We pray that God will continue to lay foreign missions onto the hearts of His people and that they too will see the benefit of serving on the field in association with a board such as BIMI. Please pray for us as we begin the deputation part of our ministry in earnest. Deputation is a ministry in and of its self and we’re excited to be able to share our passion for the Gospel with churches who share that desire to see the lost come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
