We’re glad to report we made it safely back from Greece on the 18th. It was even more difficult leaving this time than in the past. God continues to knit our hearts together with Takis and April, as well as with our Zakynthian church family. It now feels like we’re leaving home when we leave Greece. I believe God intends the missionary heart to feel that way. I will always love being an American and our great land but Greece is where our heart is now. Our goal of going home to Greece is just 22 months away, May 2014. God has led us this far and we are trusting that He will lead the way home.
We’re praising the Lord for the two new churches who have partnered with us to reach Greeks for Christ. What a thrill it is to talk to supporting pastors who are as excited as we are at the opportunities God has provided our family for the Gospel’s sake. We continually praise the Lord for each and every church family who selflessly keep our family in prayer and “hold the ropes” as we continue on deputation and beyond.
Our schedule is quite busy through the late Summer and Fall. We will be in Ohio this week, head to the Pittsburgh area for Sunday the 29th, drive home after Sunday evening services to reset and recharge before leaving for a Florida meeting on Wednesday the 1st. From there it’s on to a conference in Richmond, VA, two nights at a conference in Indiana, and then a meeting in the Detroit area on the 12th. Looking forward to seeing my brother Marc in Detroit as well as my life-long friend Ivan. We go home for about 10 days and then go full-tilt through the Fall. Thanks for praying for us.
Please join us in praying for the families and friends of those who lost their lives in Colorado this weekend. Thanks….
