Friend, everyone must face the reality that this life will end one day. Have you taken the time to consider what lies on the other side of this life? Most people believe in some type of afterlife. Maybe they went to Sunday School or church at some time in their life and heard of heaven. Many religions teach that heaven is earned by doing good things or keeping a set of rules as best as you can. Some people trust in the baptism they were administered when they were an infant. Some people don’t know if heaven exists and some even believe that there is nothing after this life. However, the Bible, which is God’s Word, records in I John 5:11-13, “And this is the record, that God hath given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” If you do not have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and lack assurance of heaven as your eternal home, we invite to follow along with the following truths and accept Jesus Christ as your own Lord and Saviour.

First, realize God loves you. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Second, realize that everyone is a sinner. Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Sin is anything that is contrary to God, His laws and commands, and His revealed righteousness.

Third, realize sin has a price that must be paid. Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The Bible is clear on the fact that no one can enter God’s presence with their sin, it must be paid for.

Fourth, realize that Jesus Christ died to pay the price of your sin. Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Although we cannot understand how, God said our sin sins were laid on Jesus and He died in our place. He became our substitute. Acts 17:30 says, “God…commandeth all men everywhere to repent.” Repentence is a change of mind that agrees with God that one is a sinner, and also agrees with what Jesus did for us on the Cross.

Finally, pray, ask Jesus Christ to be your Saviour, and claim His promises of eternal life. Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Whosoever includes you. Shall be saved means not maybe but SHALL BE SAVED!

If you realize the truth that you are a sinner and sincerely desire to accept God’s free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, you can repent of your sin and lift your heart to God right now. Simply pray: “Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross. I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me. I ask you Lord Jesus to be my Saviour, come into my heart and save me today. I commit my life to You. Thank you for the forgiveness of my sins, the free gift of salvation and eternal life because of Your grace. Amen.”
